Who we are

Centric Byte Software Solutions (“Centric Byte”, “we”, “us”) is based in Gujarat, India. We run https://www.centricbyte.com/ and decide how personal information collected through it is used. This policy explains what we collect from visitors and from people who contact us, why, who else handles it, and what choices you have.

Information we collect

We collect only what the site needs to work and what you choose to send us.

• Contact form: your name, email address, optional company name, and the message you write. If you email us instead, we receive your email address and whatever you include.
• Site usage: which pages are viewed, the page that referred you, browser and device type, and approximate region. We also receive reports of errors that occur in your browser while using the site.
• Spam protection: when you use the contact form, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are a person. It receives your IP address and browser signals to do so.
• Hosting records: our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical details such as your IP address and the pages requested, to deliver the site and keep it secure.

How we use it, and why

Where the law requires your consent, we ask for it, and you can withdraw it at any time. We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not use it for automated decisions that affect you.

• To reply to your inquiry and prepare a proposal. We do this because you asked us to, and because it is in both our interests (legitimate interests).
• To run and secure the site and to block spam and abuse (legitimate interests).
• To understand how the site is used so we can fix and improve it (legitimate interests).
• To meet legal, tax, and contractual obligations if we work together.

Cookies and analytics

We use PostHog for site analytics, set up in a cookieless mode. It does not store cookies or persistent identifiers in your browser, does not build profiles of individual visitors, and does not record sessions. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the site and handle inquiries, and only for that purpose:

• Cloudflare: hosting, security, and the Turnstile spam check.
• Resend: delivers contact form messages to our inbox.
• Our email provider: receives and stores the messages sent to us.
• PostHog: site analytics.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others. If our business is ever merged or sold, personal information may transfer to the new owner under the same protections.

International transfers

We are based in India, work with engineers in several countries, and use providers that operate globally. Your information may therefore be processed outside the country where you live, including in India and the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses with our providers.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry messages for as long as we need to respond and to keep a record of the conversation. If we work together, we keep project records for the length of the engagement and afterward for as long as contracts, tax, and legal requirements call for. Analytics events carry no persistent identifier, so they are not tied to a named person. You can ask us to delete your messages sooner, as described below.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and we limit who can read inquiry messages. No method of sending or storing data is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, laws such as the EU and UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act, and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act give you rights over your personal information. These include the right to:

• know what we hold about you and get a copy of it
• correct information that is wrong or incomplete
• ask us to delete it, or to restrict how we use it
• object to uses based on our legitimate interests
• receive your data in a portable format, where the law provides for it
• withdraw consent you gave us
• complain to your data protection authority

To use any of these rights, or to raise a concern, email us. We reply within the time applicable law requires. We may need to confirm who you are first. Because we do not sell or share personal information for advertising, there is nothing to opt out of in that respect.

Children

The site is for businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

The site links to other websites, such as LinkedIn. We do not control them and are not responsible for their privacy practices.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will make that clear on the site.
